The McCoy Well Song – Hatfield & McCoy Heritage Music

Hatfield McCoy Well

Local musician Jim Hunt recently wrote and recorded a song about the legendary Hatfield McCoy Feud. Titled “The McCoy Well”, this song tells the story of one of the feud’s darkest hours, when the Hatfields attacked the McCoy’s homeplace. Performed in an Eastern Kentucky bluegrass style, Jim Hunt narrates the events of this infamous attack with a storytelling style made popular by the genre. We invite everyone to give the song a listen, and feel free to contact Jim Hunt if you are interested in purchasing an audio CD, or for event/wedding reception bookings: (606) 353-7209 or (606) 213-2110.
