The Pikeville Farmers Market, held from June to November, has become the go-to place for locals and visitors who are health conscious and hungry for fresh vegetables. Ever wondered how to can food? Knowing how may come in handy. The Pike County Extension Office is offering a series of Food Preservation Canning Workshops in July, August and September, 2015. Space is limited. Pre-registration and $5.00 pre-payment required for each class. These are “hands on” classes. Participants will prepare and preserve their own food.
