Hatfield McCoy Heritage Days 2017

“The feud is over, let the fun begin!” Hatfield McCoy Heritage Days is coming to Pikeville/Pike County, Kentucky, September 22, 23 and 24, 2017! Expect plenty of friends, food, and fun during this highly anticipated event. You don’t have to be a Hatfield or a McCoy to attend, everyone is welcome! There is a wealth of activities planned for this unique event. Check out the information below for more details.

Ruff Tuff Cuss Race 2017

Challenge yourself with The Ruff Tuff Cuss Race, Eastern Kentucky’s Premier All-Terrain Obstacle and Road Adventure! This 3-day race series is fun for all, from the casual jogger to the hardcore runner.

Beginning Friday evening at 7:00 p.m., we have “The Bullet” foot race, a short 2 mile run to the Expo Center Plaza, where there will be fans, music and a party just for the contestants.

Saturday at 8:00 a.m. we have the “The Cuss”. Named appropriately, this race will separate the men from the boys and the women from the girls. This race is 8 to 9 miles of obstacles that will test your endurance, stamina, and will!

Finally, Sunday at 8:00 a.m., we have “The Gun”.  This is a half marathon run thru the beautiful town of Pikeville!

We have awesome medals for those of you that dare to run all three races, with shirts, and other goodies along the way.

Live Music on Billy Johnson Stage

Live music will be held Friday evening, from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Pikeville Main Street’s Billy Johnson Stage. Featuring food, a cash bar, various artists and varying genres. Admission is free.

Pikeville Farmer’s Market with the Hatfields & McCoys

Don’t let the title shock you, the Hatfields and McCoys are coming together at the Pikeville Farmer’s Market, Saturday, September 23 for a Pig Roast. This event will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., and will feature no feudin’, just family fun. This very special event offers a wealth of fun activities, such as arts and crafts, an apple butter demo, vintage corn mill in operation, candle making, kids activities, face painting, tie dye station and guest vendors featuring local produce. Live entertainment is also planned, with Jason Goble and Jessica Gillum set to perform. Hatfield and McCoy reenactors will be telling the story of the feud while the Hatfield and McCoy descendants host a morning of family fun and music. Event scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23. Held at the Pikeville Farmer’s Market’s new location, 130 Adams Ln., Pikeville, KY 41501.

Hatfield and McCoy Brew Fest

The Hatfield and McCoy Brew Fest will be held Saturday, September 23, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the East Kentucky Expo Center. Enjoy the best beer brewed in Kentucky along with live entertainment.

Classic Cars & Drag Racing

Come out and meet some of the Hatfield and McCoy descendants as they host the 2017 Pikeville Muscle on Main and Drag racing, were we put the vroom in classic cars and racing in downtown Pikeville, Kentucky. The drag racing event will be held in the Pikeville Riverfill Arena, Saturday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m.

Service at the McCoy Well Site

The pinnacle of Hatfield McCoy Heritage Days, the Service at the McCoy Well will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 10 a.m. This very special event will feature a presentation by the feud descendants, led by William Keith Hatfield, great grandson of Anderson “Devil Anse” Hatfield, along with Ron McCoy, Great, Great Grandson of Randolph McCoy.

Pike County Tourism CVB is working closely with the Pikeville Farmer’s Market to host vendors, and there are guidelines that must be followed. Independence Day in Pike County, KY

Pikeville invites you to join us in celebrating the independence of our great nation on July 4, 2017. Bring the family for some food, music, and fun as we recognize this national holiday. The event is free and everyone is welcome. The firework display will begin at dusk.
