Breaks Park is gearing up for the 62nd Annual Tri-State Gospel Sing, which will be held at the park amphitheater during Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept 1 – Monday, Sept 3. This event is free (park entrance fees may apply).
Scheduled performers are as follows: Saturday will include The Jackson Family, Kevin Spencer, The McNeills, Willis Canada, Billy Fields, The Parsons, Gospel Grass Trio, Tammy Jones Robinette, The Crawfords, East Ridge Boys, Kevin Wilson Band, Steppin’ Out on Faith, Keen Mountain Boys, The Principles, Annette Herdon, Ronnie Spriggs, Eddie Street, and 4 the King;
Sunday’s performances are set to include Billy Fields, The Principles, The Jackson Family, Kevin Spencer, Gospel Grass Trio, Tammy Jones Robinette, The Parsons, Willis Canada, The Crawfords, Ronnie Spriggs, The McNeills, Eddie Street, East Ridge Boys, Annette Herdon, Kevin Wilson Band, and Keen Mountain Boys;
Performing on Monday will be The Primitive Quartet, Ronnie Spriggs, Tammy Jones Robinette, The Jackson Family, Willis Canada, Steppin’ Out on Faith, The East Ridge Boys, Walking by Faith, and The Parsons.
Event organizers said that groups may not sing in the order listed. Morning devotions will begin each day at 9 am with Billy Fields, Ronnie Spriggs, Joe Jackson, and Mike Jackson. Singing will run Saturday and Sunday through 8 pm, and Monday through 4 pm.
Breaks Interstate Park is located on the Kentucky – Virginia border and is accessed by State Route 80. Commissioned by the U.S. Congress in 1954, it encompasses more than 4,600 acres and is one of only two interstate parks in the United States.
