Want to explore a spooky trail this halloween season? The Cut Thru Mountain Haunted Holler Adventure is perfect for you! The trail will be open every weekend through halloween, with opening night being October 14th, at 7:00 p.m. Cut-Thru Mountain is a haunted trail adventure that begins with a hay ride to haunted stables. Then a walk through a winding nature trail encountering an assortment of frightening characters and scenes to send chills down your spine.

The Shelby Creek Volunteer Rescue Fall ATV Poker Run is scheduled for October 1, 2016. This event is located at the Dorton Volunteer Fire Department, with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m., and ride beginning at 12 noon. Purchase as many “hands” as you want, at $10 hand. Drawings will be held, along with door prizes. 1st place will win $100, second place $50. Food and refreshments will be available after the ride. This is a fundraiser for the Shelby Creek Volunteer Rescue Squad. Come out, bring your ATV and show your support!
